a brief but intense hail storm that i just caught the end of with the cam. it starts to lighten up as i’m recording.
they were really spherical and almost clear. reminds me of the stuffing in a bean-bag chair.

Mounted to a piece of Manzanita, really hard, reddish wood.
maybe i’ll finish the wood smooth and glossy, but the world is seeming rather rough hewn these days anyways….

we’ve all been waiting years for this guy to go and now it’s time has come.
don’t think we’ll be getting through today. going to need some nice equipment to move that root ball of mud.

got more then a foot of snow in the hills above our house, probably 1600 feet above our position.
Carmine went up there with our neighbor Adam and advised the fire dep on how to get a stuck car out of the road.

some benefits of the sun setting “early” is the frequent occurrence of beautiful sunsets.

Here’s the CSI team carefully extracting a skeleton from the forest floor.
They are still working on the DNA analysis, but it seems it might have been a raccoon.

Hardly Strictly BlueGrass Festival!
Think i heard something vaguely bluegrass in the background. there were like half a dozen stages going on at once in different fields of Golden Gate Park. Fun time, with people constantly moving around from one place to another.
Hiking and rock and roll do go together!

that’s Patty Smith up on the stage there. She rocks out big time.

Well, it would be. Could be already, these pics are a little old. And not very good, but impossible to replace now….

seems like fall most days. flowers are almost gone, must be tired from all those bees.

why do they bother charging anyway? doesn’t seem to pay the bills.
first we hit SF Museum of Modern Art. Lots of Warhol and interesting stuff, until it got too crowded.

some spiders were around. the kids seemed to like it.

Then we hit the African Diaspora Museum, which had some great music.
