a brief but intense hail storm that i just caught the end of with the cam. it starts to lighten up as i’m recording.
they were really spherical and almost clear. reminds me of the stuffing in a bean-bag chair.
Mounted to a piece of Manzanita, really hard, reddish wood.
maybe i’ll finish the wood smooth and glossy, but the world is seeming rather rough hewn these days anyways….

got more then a foot of snow in the hills above our house, probably 1600 feet above our position.

Hardly Strictly BlueGrass Festival!
Think i heard something vaguely bluegrass in the background. there were like half a dozen stages going on at once in different fields of Golden Gate Park. Fun time, with people constantly moving around from one place to another.
Hiking and rock and roll do go together!
that’s Patty Smith up on the stage there. She rocks out big time.
why do they bother charging anyway? doesn’t seem to pay the bills.
first we hit SF Museum of Modern Art. Lots of Warhol and interesting stuff, until it got too crowded.
some spiders were around. the kids seemed to like it.
Then we hit the African Diaspora Museum, which had some great music.
